Ps4 small download speed high upload

DatNguyen59 4 years ago 5. The best thing is to completely ignore the dl ul numbers the PS4 shows when doing a network test. If you have a good upload speed then the PS4 will use it. From reading your post, why is upload speed important to you, if you're talking about downloads?

BruceLee Topic Creator 4 years ago 8. Someone told me when playing Fifa online with p2p upload is important, not sure how true it is.

But for some reason i lag every game and ive tried many things to improve it, but noticed that my upload is always slow around 2mb so thought it must be this since my download is pretty good. Ya ea sports games do rely on upload speed a bit. Even with 6 it should be fine. Remember its p2p. Unless you know for a fact the other players ping then no way to tell the issue.

If you have a question please post a new topic. February Believe it or not, the solution to your problem might be as simple as trying a different Ethernet cable. Your Ethernet connection is duplex: it receives and transmits simultaneously using different wires and pins for receiving and transmitting. It might be that your receiving wires or pins on the connector are having issues while the transmitting ones are working fine.

Finally, your Internet Service Provider might be making a mistake in the way they deliver the service to your household. Do this, especially if your download speeds are consistently low on all devices and vary throughout the day. Your internet speed signifies how fast data moves from the World Wide Web to your devices and vice-versa. Here is a guide from the FCC detailing the minimum download speed requirements for different activities.

Note that these are the minimum requirements, so they go up to 25 Mbps. With recent innovations in the 5G field, these download speeds will soon be considered low to moderate. Most of our online activities rely on consuming or receiving content rather than uploading. Essentially, everything that needs to be loaded, downloaded, and consumed in any other way will rely on your download speed. While download speed tells you how fast you receive data from the Web, upload speeds tell us how quickly the data moves in the opposite direction.

Multiple signal bands, along with other features like beamforming, MU-MIMO multi-user, multiple input, multiple output , and other Wi-Fi 6 technologies, can allow your devices to take maximum advantage of your high-speed internet connection. Download speeds determine how fast information can travel from the internet to your home. For most every activity you do on the internet, download speed is going to be the most important factor. Upload speeds are used when you want to send information from your device to another location on the internet. We use our upload speed when we want to post a video to Facebook, or send a picture from our phone to a friend.

We also use it every time we click on a link or type a search term into Google. That information has to travel from our browser to the appropriate server in order to tell it which information it needs to send us.

Uploading is an essential part of using the internet. We all use upload speed, but some people rely on it heavily.

Most ISPs advertise only download speeds, so you might not even realize that upload speeds are a separate thing. Download speeds are also generally the faster of the two speeds, so most advertisements tend to focus on them. Although we constantly both download and upload information online, for most of us, the information we upload is generally much smaller. By contrast, the only information that needs to be uploaded are the search terms you look up and the information from the links and buttons you click.

Most of us have had to deal with slow download speeds at one point or another, which often involves waiting for images to appear on a web page or a video stopping in the middle of playback to buffer.
